Yakima County Asset Building Coalition

What is Financial Literacy? It is a solid foundation, through learned skills, for a smart and healthy relationship with money. We focus on connecting people with the resources they need, partnering with multiple agencies to provide free tax preparation, including the Earned Income Tax Credit and Working Families Tax Credit tax reductions; Bank on Yakima which offers people a second chance  to have a free or low cost bank account; access to College Bound, a Statewide scholarship program for youth hoping to go to college; financial education opportunities, both online and in person, to help with things like debt reduction, budget planning, or fixing your credit; a program supporting microenterprise businesses (five or less employees) and much, much more.   Check us out!
